Winter Hitting Camp starts Baseball Fever in Estacada!

2009 Estacada Winter Baseball Camp
ESTACADA HIGH SCHOOL -
During the first three days of Christmas break, over 30 young baseball players showed up for the Estacada Winter Hitting Camp. For three days "future Estacada baseball players broke into different stations and worked on key fundamentals for hitting. The camp was lead by the Estacada High School coaching staff. The high school baseball team also helped by leading the campers to their stations as well as giving them some helpful pointers on their swings.
The campers also got to hear from guest speakers such as Howard Fetz (Former Eastern Oregon Universtiy Baseball Coach), Scott Sullivan (Former D1 College Baseball Player), Jack Flitcraft (Former Head Baseball Coach at Gresham High School), Donavan Bresko (Estacada Little League President), and Chad Gaidos (Estacada Little League Vice President).
" I thought the camp was a great success." Said new head coach Ryan Carpenter, "As we begin to build a baseball program in Estacada it is important that we start with our youth programs. I look forward to continuing to work with the Estacada Little League in hopes that we can build excitement for baseball in this community."
