PROJECT REBUILD
our program's mission this year is to establish connections and get help from the community to make some desperately needed improvements to the baseball field. Our first priority is to re-establish the game of baseball for the young athletes and creating a field that can ignite this passion for the game can make a difference in so many lives. We hope that we can turn this field into a place that the whole community can be proud of and play a part in. Take a look at these goals and see if you can play a part in them.

Goal #2 - New Home Run Fence (Completed!!!!)
THANK YOU HAMPTON LUMBER!!!
Efforts are already underway to rebuild the home run fence. Building a fence like the one in the picture is a great way to improve the program in so many ways. First, it makes the field look like a big league baseball field. Second, it generates a yearly income to help continue to improve the field and equipment. Third, the fence is a great opportunity to advertise and promote the businesses of Estacada Baseball supporters. This picture is taken at Grant Union High School in John Day, Oregon. Last year their fence brought in over $5,000 to the baseball program. They used this revenue to make yearly payments on a John Deere Lawnmower.

Goal #3 - In Ground Sprinkler System (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
THANK YOU ESTACADA SCHOOL DISTRICT
One of the major problems with Estacada facilities is the water and irrigation systems. Currently there are no ways to irrigate the sports fields other than the labor and determination of volunteers to move sprinkler heads. In order for our baseball teams to be successful we need to keep the field playable year around. One of the most important goals of our "PROJECT REBUILD" is installing a sprinkler system that covers the whole field. This fall I will be getting an estimate from a local lanscaping business or plumbing company to see how much it would cost to install a irrigation system with timer on the varsity baseball field.
Donations Needed:
- Back Hoe or Trench Digger
- Rain Bird Pop up Sprinklers
- Lots of PVC Pipe
- Install from main water line
- Install faucet behind mound, behind home plate
- Several volunteers to help

Goal #4 - New Backstop (Completed!!!!)
Despite the fact that this is goal#4. This will actually be the first thing we do in "PROJECT REBUILD." The current backstop at the field is no longer safe and useful. we need to remove the chainlink and the overhanging poles. Most baseball field these days have poles that go straight up 30 feet and have netting. The Netting makes it easier for spectators to see the game and is easier on the baseballs when they make contact with it. This will be the first improvement made on the baseball field this year and construction will begin in September.
Donations Needed:
- 4 twenty foot metal poles (Not sure the diameter)
- Someone who knows how to weld :)
- An electrical truck with lifting Boom
- 40ft x 30ft Net

Goal #5 - Begin Gathering Machinery
As we all know taking care of a baseball field is extremely hard work. In order to keep the field in good shape and managable for our community to enjoy and for our kids to play on throughout the year, we need to begin to collect some machines to make the upkeep of this field easier. These are the machines that are absolutely necessary to making our field nice and maintainable. Please look at this list and see if there is any way you can donate or know someone who would be willing to donate this much needed machinery.
Machinery Needed:
- Riding Lawn Mower (a must) (Donated by Jack Flitcraft)
- a golf cart or Gator (Donated by Rick)
- Weed Wacker/Trimmer for weeds along the fence line
- Extra Brooms and Rakes
- SPEAKER SYSTEM (Donated by Chad Gaidos)
