Ryan Carpenter - Program Director/Head Coach
Ryan Carpenter enters his 3rd year as the head coach of the Estacada Baseball Program. Last year the Rangers had a very successful spring and summer and finished one game short of the state tournament. Before moving to Estacada, Carpenter was the head coach at Grant Union High School during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. During this time running the Grant Union Program his teams made two playoff appearances, won the league championship (09), and made it to the semi finals during the 09 season. Carpenter was also named 2009 Eastern Oregon League Coach of the Year.
Ryan Carpenter began his coaching career at Concordia University (2005) where he served under Rob Vance (an alumni Estacada baseball coach) as a graduate assistant baseball coach. During his year coaching at Concordia, Carpenter worked primarily with the middle infielders and hitters.
A graduate from Centennial High School (Gresham, Oregon), Carpenter attended Eastern Oregon University where he played second base for the baseball team. He was recognized as an all league middle infielder during the 03 and 04 seasons and finished in the top 10 in the region in batting average during those years.
Coach Carpenter is confident that the program will not only be rebuilt from the ground up, but he also believes that this team will compete in a tough conference. Carpenter would not only like to build a tradition of success on the field, but would also like to create champions of character in the classroom and around the community as well.
“From the day that I first started playing baseball, I’ve thought of coaching at the high school level,” Carpenter said. “I believe the continuity we will have will be a great thing for the program. All our coaches are going in the same direction in terms of goals and philosophy. We have some great kids and a great qualified staff. I look forward building a baseball program in Estacada.
Ryan Carpenter and His wife Amy live in the Estacada community. They have 2 boys (Dane 2 and Grant 1). Future Estacada bat boys. Coach Carpenter also serves as the Defensive Coordinator for the Estacada Football Program.
